Einleitung
The Sigma Squared Global Summit is the yearly gathering of the Sigma Squared Society, a community of young founders from around the world. On 30 and 31 October 2026, it takes place in Vienna.
Kini co-founder and CTO Julia Komkowski has been part of the community since 2024 and will be there again this year, as she was at the last two summits in Valencia.

What is the Sigma Squared Global Summit 2026?
The Sigma Squared Summit is the yearly flagship event of the Sigma Squared Society, a non-profit community of young founders run by volunteers. The Society describes itself as a community of 1,100+ young entrepreneurs, present on five continents and in 35 countries. Once a year, the summit brings Fellows together with investors, speakers and thought leaders for two days.

Why is the summit going back to Vienna?
Vienna hosted the very first summit under the Sigma Squared Society name in 2021. The last two editions took place in Valencia, in November 2024 and October 2025. Announcing the 2026 edition, the organiser called the return to Vienna "a true full-circle moment".
Who from Kini will be there?
Julia Komkowski, Kini's co-founder and CTO, has been part of the Sigma Squared community since she became a Fellow in October 2024, and she has been at every summit since: in Valencia in November 2024 and again in October 2025. Vienna will be her third. She goes as a member of the community, not on behalf of Kini, so there is no booth, talk or sponsorship.
This year she is making a longer trip of it: the week before the summit, Julia is already in Vienna for a co-working week with other founders.
What is the Sigma Squared community like?
Sigma Squared is a founder community, not an industry event: its Fellows build companies in very different fields and countries. In past years, the summit programme mixed talks and panels with co-working sessions and plenty of time for conversations.
For Julia, that is the reason to go back: two days of exchange with other founders about building a company, well beyond recruiting and HR tech.
