Kini connects to Tlou on the job side. It reads active jobs through Tlou's API, keeps them current and archives them when they close, while each job links candidates back to Tlou to apply. Six places where that makes a difference.
Active jobs read from Tlou through its API
Kini reads every job with the status Active from your customer's Tlou account through Tlou's API, then fetches the full details of each one. Jobs with any other status are not imported. By default the sync runs once an hour, on a schedule Kini sets per company, and each later sync updates the same job record in Kini.
Job details translated into Kini's standard values
Kini takes each job's title, description, salary range and creation date from Tlou. Tlou's functional expertise, job level, type of job post, education and work model are translated into Kini's standard values for category, seniority, employment type, education and remote work. A value Kini does not know yet stays empty and is recorded for mapping.
Location and header image from the company record
Kini fills each job's city, postcode, country and street from the address of the company record in Tlou, and stores the company's header picture with the job as its banner image. Employer details maintained in Tlou therefore arrive with every job, without anyone entering them a second time in Kini.
Applications stay in Tlou
Every job Kini reads from Tlou carries two links back to Tlou: the job's posting page and its application page. Candidates who follow the application link apply in Tlou itself, so their application is created in your customer's Tlou account directly and Tlou remains the system of record for candidates.
Closed jobs archived, reopened jobs restored
Because Kini only reads active jobs, a job that closes in Tlou is missing from the next sync. Kini then archives it and takes its active campaign bookings offline. If the job is set back to Active in Tlou, Kini reactivates the same record and, where the campaign is still running, puts its bookings back online.
Promote a Tlou job straight after publishing
Kini's promote link signs a user in and opens the promote page for one job, identified by its ID in Tlou, ready to book reach for it. If the job was only just published in Tlou, Kini fetches it from Tlou first, so it can be booked without waiting for the next scheduled sync.
