STAFFINGpro 2025: Two Days With the Staffing Industry in Wiesbaden

Fabian Scheib spent 21 and 22 October 2025 in Wiesbaden, first at the Byner Community Event, then at STAFFINGpro. What the staffing industry discussed there, from AI to best of breed versus one system, and why it matters for integrations.

Introduction

Staffing firms rarely run on one system. Candidates arrive through job boards, move through an ATS, and end up in back-office tools for contracts, time tracking and invoicing. Every one of those hand-offs is a place where data can get stuck.

In October 2025, the German staffing industry met in Wiesbaden to talk about exactly that, and about AI. Kini co-founder Fabian Scheib was there for two days: on 21 October at the Byner Community Event, and on 22 October at STAFFINGpro, the trade fair for staffing and personnel services. This is a look back at what the two events covered and what we took from them.

TL;DR

  • What: STAFFINGpro 2025, the trade fair for staffing and personnel services, plus the Byner Community Event the day before as a pre-event.
  • When and where: 21 October 2025 at Delikt Tagbar im Alten Gericht and 22 October 2025 at the RheinMain CongressCenter (RMCC), both in Wiesbaden.
  • Kini's role: Fabian Scheib attended both events as a visitor. Kini did not have a booth in 2025.
  • Takeaway 1: AI dominated the programme. By our count, 12 of the 45 sessions in the archived STAFFINGpro programme address AI in their title.
  • Takeaway 2: The systems question was on stage twice: combine the best tools through strong interfaces, or run one platform instead of several tools.
  • Next: Kini exhibits at STAFFINGpro 2026 on 21 October 2026 at the RMCC, booth C.08-C.

What were STAFFINGpro 2025 and the Byner Community Event?

STAFFINGpro is organised by HRM Institute GmbH & Co. KG from Mannheim. The organiser describes it as a platform for decision-makers in temporary employment and personnel placement. It covers recruiting tools, talent management systems, employer branding and software built for staffing providers. The 2025 edition took place on 22 October 2025 at the RheinMain CongressCenter in Wiesbaden, from 9.00 to 17.30.

A preview for 2025 in the trade magazine Arbeit und Arbeitsrecht reported that the 2024 edition drew 754 trade visitors and 72 exhibitors. The archived exhibitor list from 16 October 2025 has 64 entries, including software vendors, job boards, associations and media partners. We did not find published visitor numbers for 2025.

The Byner Community Event ran the day before, on 21 October 2025 from 11.30 to 14.00, at Delikt Tagbar in Wiesbaden. Byner, a staffing platform built on Salesforce, invited customers, partners and prospects under the motto "Staffing neu denken – Transformation gemeinsam gestalten" (rethinking staffing, shaping transformation together). After a walking lunch, the programme had three sessions:

  • insights into the German staffing market, with André Sola of APSCo
  • a Byner innovation session on how staffing is transforming, with Tim Ranke of Byner
  • a fireside chat on market trends and transformation with Dirk Tekath (TEKATH Personalberatung), Christoph Albrecht (FERCHAU) and Philipp Riedel (YER)

What did Kini do in Wiesbaden?

Kini was there to listen and to meet people. Fabian Scheib attended both events as a visitor. Kini was not an exhibitor in 2025 and does not appear on the archived exhibitor list. On the morning of the trade fair, Fabian posted on LinkedIn:

Spannende Tage voller Austausch, Inspiration und Begegnungen mit bestehenden und neuen Partnern aus der Staffing- und Recruiting-Welt.

Fabian Scheib on LinkedIn, 22 October 2025

In English (translated from German): exciting days full of exchange, inspiration and meetings with existing and new partners from the staffing and recruiting world. In the same post, he thanked the Byner team for the invitation and asked his network who he should meet at STAFFINGpro that day.

The exhibitor list showed why that question made sense. It included several systems Kini has integration pages for, among them CIXON Recruiting Hub, compleet, coveto, HR4YOU, PD Connect, talent360, TALENTION and zvoove. You can see the full list on our integrations overview.

What did the programme say about AI in staffing?

AI was the headline topic. By our count, 12 of the 45 sessions in the archived programme address AI in their title. Titles included "Künstliche Intelligenz und die Zukunft der Staffing-Branche" and "Recruiter-Erfolg neu gedacht: Neue KPIs für das Zeitalter von KI", a talk about new recruiter KPIs for the age of AI.

For integrations, this matters in one specific way. An AI sourcing, matching or screening tool is only useful if it reads current jobs and candidates from the ATS and writes its results back. A new tool means one more connection to build and keep running.

Best of breed or one system?

The most useful part of the programme for us was a debate that ran across two sessions without either of them naming the other.

In the podcast lounge, the programme announced Pia Tischer (CEO of coveto) and Sebastian Bruges (GEDAT) for "Best of Breed – Buzzword oder die Zukunft?". According to the programme, their argument was to combine the best systems freely instead of settling for an all-in-one solution. They used coveto as recruiting software and timejob as ERP for temporary staffing as the example, and made the case that freedom of choice and strong interfaces create real value. Kini also connects coveto, see our coveto integration.

At a meet-up on another stand, Oliver Welz (Mysolution) and Julian Seifert (Seifert Personal Service) took the opposite direction, according to the programme: "one system instead of several tools". Their programme text says separate solutions for recruiting, time tracking and invoicing often lead to duplicate data entry, errors and extra coordination.

Both sessions describe the same problem from different ends. Staffing firms either connect several tools or consolidate them, and either way the data has to flow without people typing it twice. Kini works on the connecting side: it connects ATS, job boards and agencies and runs the ATS integrations as an ongoing service, including monitoring, retries, recovery and connector maintenance. We explain the category in Managed Recruiting Connectivity, explained.

Why were job boards on the staffing stage?

Job boards spoke directly to staffing firms at STAFFINGpro 2025. The programme included:

  • "Recruiting Trends für das Staffing 2026" with Henning Ebke of StepStone
  • "Arbeitsmarkt im Wandel", a talk on the changing labour market, with Tim Verhoeven of Indeed
  • a session by Marc Wagner of kleinanzeigen.de on filling jobs with Kleinanzeigen PRO, "Jetzt auch automatisiert mit Direktverlinkung" (now also automated with direct linking, translated from German)

For staffing firms, this is where integrations show up first. Jobs go out of the ATS to the channels, and applications come back into the ATS with a sync status on every record. Kini Shop distributes job ads to boards including Indeed, StepStone and Kleinanzeigen.

What comes next?

We will be back in Wiesbaden, this time with a stand. Kini exhibits at STAFFINGpro 2026 on 21 October 2026 at the RheinMain CongressCenter, booth C.08-C. If you work at a staffing firm or build software for one, come and say hello.
