Introduction
A job board receives jobs and sends back applications. On the other end of that exchange sits an applicant tracking system (ATS), run by an employer or a recruiting agency: jobs go out of it to the channels, and applications have to come back into it. That is why Kini's view for job boards is simple: plug into the ATS systems where hiring decisions happen.
On 8 October 2026, job board owners, founders and their sales, product, technology and partnership teams meet in London for the Job Boards Connect Annual Conference. Kini's co-founders Fabian Scheib (CEO) and Julia Komkowski (CTO) will be there. If you want to talk about Kini AI and how your board connects to ATS platforms and agencies, book a coffee with them.

What is Job Boards Connect 2026?
Job Boards Connect is an events and community organisation for the job board industry, co-founded by Louise Grant and Louise Triance. It describes itself like this:
Job Boards Connect brings the global job board and digital recruitment community together.
The Annual Conference is its autumn event. The organiser names job board owners and founders, senior managers and functional heads, sales, marketing, operations, technology and product teams, and partnership directors and managers as the people who should attend. It promises more than 15 speakers and more than 8 sessions, an exhibitor area, and an event app with a networking feature and a dedicated meeting area.
The published agenda opens with a welcome from the two hosts, Louise Grant and Louise Triance, followed by "The State of the Job Board Market". The day continues with short product demos in the "Product & Partnership Exploration Sessions", "The Next Chapter for Job Boards", "Winning Candidate Attention in an AI-Powered World" and "AI: What's Delivering Results Today?". In the afternoon, attendees join facilitated roundtables called "Hosted Huddles", and the closing session is "The Job Board Leader's Playbook for 2027".

Who from Kini will be at Job Boards Connect?
Both of Kini's co-founders will attend the conference in London: Fabian Scheib, CEO, and Julia Komkowski, CTO. Kini is an Event Partner of the conference and presents on the main stage, but has no stand, so the easiest way to meet is to arrange a time in advance.
Kini is a managed connectivity layer for recruiting, built and operated in Germany. It connects applicant tracking systems, job boards and recruiting agencies. It runs the ATS integrations as an ongoing service: monitoring, retries, recovery and connector maintenance are included. Kini works mainly in the DACH region, so the conversation is most useful if your board works with employers, agencies or ATS vendors in Germany, Austria or Switzerland.
What can job board operators talk to Kini about?
Kini's promise to job boards is to get them listed where decisions get made: in the ATS systems and with the agencies that distribute jobs.
The focus in London is Kini AI, a different way to connect a job board to employers. Instead of integrating each employer's ATS one by one, Kini AI submits the application through the employer's own application form, the way a candidate would, CV upload included. All it takes is the apply link from the employer's careers page, whichever ATS sits behind it. That makes Quick Apply possible on every job on your board, and you can switch it on by default. The one exception is a form that requires the candidate to register an account first. Kini introduces Kini AI in a 10-minute product showcase on the main stage, as part of the Product & Partnership Exploration Sessions.
Beyond Kini AI, four more conversations are worth having with Fabian and Julia in London:
- Jobs from ATS platforms onto your board. Kini Core connects an ATS with the systems it exchanges data with, using API, email forwarding, crawler, feeds and custom mappings. The principle is one connection on your side, whatever the other side speaks. The integrations directory lists the ATS Kini connects.
- Applications back where they count. Jobs go out of the ATS to the channels, and applications come back into the ATS with a sync status on every record. The ATS stays the system of record, so the employer sees your board's candidates where they actually work.
- Onboarding without handling credentials. Employers connect their own ATS through a one-time magic link, so your team never handles their credentials.
- Distribution through Kini Shop. Kini Shop is Kini's job-board marketplace. It distributes job ads to 1,500+ boards, including Indeed, StepStone, Kleinanzeigen and the Bundesagentur für Arbeit.
The difference to a unified API is that Kini runs the integrations instead of handing you an API to build on. The longer explanation is in our piece on managed recruiting connectivity.
